History & Constitution
Kuhu Samajik Jan Kalyan Sansthan started as a Rural & Urban level movement by a group of likeminded intellectuals, educationalists, Social Activities and young men & women who worked with rural, urban and far flung habitation of Lakhisarai district of Bihar state. This is one of the people Centre service oriented Non-Govt. organization working for the social upgradation, economic reconstruction and to strengthen the lives support system of the needy, marginalized and most back ward communities of Bihar state. Simultaneously it has extending its area of operation from one district to its neighboring district. The strength of the organization is its very nature of functioning. We do not hesitate admit that we are a local organization having its root in the community. Our decision making process is transparent and total democratic that the beneficiaries themselves take part in various deliberations of the organization.
Statutory Status
The organization is Registered under Societies Registration Act 1860.

Promote "Community based Organisations" and assist them in their strengthening and development in such a way that they are able to identify and work on the issues affecting them adversely.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is quite simple. We work with people because we respect their potential and desire for growth and development. An effective and efficient alternative to the prevailing system of rural &Urban development is to make people skilled enough to command abetter standard of living. The effort is to evolve convergence. cooperation and a greater sense of ownership amongst people by removing gaps between their perception and behavior.
Areas Of Activities
Since from its existence Kuhu Samajik Jan Kalyan Sansthan has beenworking in Lakhisarai district of Bihar state. The Society has a widerange of activities to its credit. The core areas of activities havebeen identified on a priority basis are women development,economic development, capacity building, social defense, naturalresource management, awareness generation, protection andstrengthening of environment, employment generation, education,health and reproductive child health, socio-economic research.
